That would be cool but I think the paid accounts are a big reason DLCs come out on XBL before PSN. Although I could probably live with getting content when they do. Lol

ps3 has more lag, less security, and less features... i would gladly pay for xbl to get the additional features and security... a lot of the features that ps4 is claiming to have are already on xbox and have been for a year or two... a lot will prolly change when the next xbox comes out, but i'm sure it'll still be 60 bucks a year

ps3 has bad internet connections on it because a lot of people dont have the money to afford good internet and thats why it attracts people that cant afford to pay for a yearly subscription like xbl

I have one of both and there are several things that I hate about the ps3. Like every time you put in a new game you might as well go do something else for an hour while it updates... So maybe a paid account is not so bad.

It would be good to make it free but I think that Microsoft thinks it would be a good thing for them to keep so they make more money, So it probably won't be free anytime soon

Yeah i think that if they made it free and charged for like the dlc it would bring alot more people from ps3 to xbox i have some many friends that say they wont get or play xbox due to the fact that they have to pay for it. But like alot of you have said ps3 has some many problems due to there free gaming. Its like i was always told you get what you pay for and if you are not paying you have no room to complain about what you got.

Lets be serious, paying for Live for endless hours of enjoyment is a fair deal. You go to the movies and pay 15-30 Dollars for the tickets and popcorn yet you cant spend $50 a year on Live which is hours and hours of play time? It doesn't make sense and It's a pointless thing to complain about.

Heard with the next gen it will be free. Hopefully this doesn't reduce online gameplay to crappy playstation network quality where it's hacked every 5 seconds. I for one am happy to pay a small fee if it guarantee's quality gameplay.

I think Xbox should be free but at the same time it shouldn't, because personally I think we get more and better content then PS3, so to be reasonable we should have to pay a small fee. I dont mind paying $40 a year in membership (I have Xbox rewards and have bought a lot so I get a discount) because it isn't that much for early map packs and to play the best series ever, Halo.
