On your last sig.....The font is a little too large, also I would not have gone with white font!! In most cases Black hides and white reveals, its that way on clipping masks(if you have got that advanced yet) its that way with colors, effects, shadings....just about everything!! Hope that makes sense!! We also need to work on flow........your background has no flow, no sense of direction!!

Gotcha. So basically take it one direction as if the wind was blowing in a specific direction am I understanding right? And I understand the sizes and colors of the fonts, I pretty much go with what stands out best but tend to make them pretty big lol. And ur right about the color white stands out a lot better on darker backgrounds but sometimes it gets (to me) like it just doesn't look right ya know. I'm going to keep tryin just let me know when my flow issue gets better.

A focal is the image that you want to focus on or your "main" image, for example this weeks training ground the focal is one of the samuri girls that you can choose from, or in your current sig you are using, it is Scorpion!!

Thus far I like the red samurai girl the most. Keep with it I know it is taking a long time to get each sig done. The things I know you learned from doing the last one is; you used the fire brushes to bring fire onto the front image. You learned how to cut out the contoured sig with multiple angles. After you got the front image out I would have searched for orange backgrounds on google. Use the fire background for the rear, The scorpio image in the middle, the new orange background on front as either and addition, grain merge, or opacity reduced. leave the images separate as you blend the middle to the back perfectly, then mess with the front to make it look right. Finally merge the middle to the back and the top to the middle and back. save image, export image labeled as scorpio.jpeg The jpeg is a better quality than any other save. I hope this helped and we can go over more after you complete a sig with three layers to make it even more complex. I just want to ensure you get the concept of using multiple layers at once. You must also make sure you have the layers toolbar attached to your gimp. It will make switch between layers a breeze. Again like always any questions give me a ring.

I would never ever merge layers unless you absolutely have to!!!! if you save it as seperate layers you can go back and edit everything if you need to!!! There has been so many time I have requests from people that want the sigs I have made in the past and instead of trying to recreate it, I can just go and edit it, so I always save a copy as a jpg, png or gif and then an editable copy for Photoshop is psd and GIMP i believe is xfc lol
