This is the original animation of the Banner I was working on before I re-sized it. It was composed of 54 layers before it was optimized.

This is after it was re-sized.

I am noticing you stretch your images when you work. now i don't know too much about gimp but in Photoshop i know that if you hold shift while you re-size the image it will keep it from stretching and squishing. perhaps it works the same in gimp? i don't know don't hold me to it.

I made a new sig for fellow clan members.

The thing is, I don't see much manipulation at all. It seems like a precrafted image that you added text and a emblem.

There's no issue with starting with a good image, but as a designer, we have to make is into our own. Try the use of fractals, C4Ds, and the smudge tool to add zazz. Keep it up

I experimented with some different options in GIMP that I haven't really touched before today, so I figured I would try them out.

Can u post the stock for the first one

Mlp idk how you rendered that but it looks bad try a softer brush to erase and make it blend to the background more go around the focal with a light blur tool dodge burn smudge also are good for blending

The brushing and smudging on the wall was supposed to simulate the movement of the air in the room as the rifle went off. It was supposed to be of the shock from the shot. I blended the background more because if someone came into a room shooting you wouldn't even see or focus on what was behind him but only on the person shooting. I increased the flash size because it was dark in the room. If he were standing outside I would have actually decreased the flash size to nothing. I enjoy working with cartoon looking images more than real images. I have a problem with editing real images because the image is already complete and already edited. All I can think of doing is adding items or writing to a real image.
I am planning on getting adobe photoshop CS6 within the next month. It seems like when I download images on GIMP they become pix-elated quickly especially after conforming to GIF.

A tip of advice. Don't create a graphic and try and make it look or feel like real life. I could care less about putting my self in a signature and trying to pretend what i would see.

What people want to see is something cool, blended well, easy on the eyes, and something that has some depth to it, not necessarily a realistic feel to it.

Then again i could have taking your words in a way that you didn't mean, in that case reject what i said lol.

I have been pretty busy with school the last couple of days. I read the comments and will try to improve on it with the next sigs. Still pretty new to this stuff and really appreciate the input.
