what chocobo said to do would work pretty well and youd get what you want
what i do for borders is make a layer at the very top and go to select>all then select>modify>border from there i play around with patterns, filters, etc

id reccomend working on your blending, also, try not using full 500 x 200 size
it will come out looking better smaller...sometimes

ok, well i reccomend working on your blending, and also, watch your colors, make sure they go together good with your render, but i only see problem with that in one or two sigs
and otherwise, like i said earlier, just watch your size
yeah make sure that your colors all go together
work on the size of your sigs
blend the render into the background better
and work on flow, depth, and composition
