watch 1080 side by side with 720 ( same video )

Well, unless you have a video card and a high def monitor, it really is hard to see the difference... you will only notice the difference in the motion areas and when there are explosion of pixel changes. You will also notice the difference between 1080i and 1080p if you slow down the video. You will notice with 1080i (If you go frame by frame) the pixels change by line, and 1080p will change/refresh every pixel on the screen. But you right to the normal person, looking at the video they wouldn't see the difference in the video. Sorry for the long winded response!

True but i have a HD monitor and i can so ha lol.

But really there is no need for it ( the 1080 ).

Here is something i was told when i started editing.

" A lot of effects make a montage look great. But its when the person can blend them in seamlessly with the video then its a true montage " In other words effects are great but don't use so many that you can't make anything out in the video even if it means using the same effects :D
