Try a less fancy text. Go to dafont.com and download some news ones, totally free. My personal favorite is trajan pro. The texts your using are very bulky & fancy that they take away from your focal.

you mean kinda like this:

That looks good but I can tell you didn't blur the edges on the main picture after using the Gaussian blur on the other photos, I don't know if you can see it but you can see the white line around the helicopter thats usually how you know it's not blurred but honestly it was a good try bro and I agree with jupiter try using less fancy text. Tho the pic can look cool the text can still mess up the sig always be mindful of that. What I usually try to do is pick font that looks good and flows well with that picture now of course that view of it looks good is on you but most of the time when you pick a font that looks good with sig itself others will think it looks good too.

so tried a spirit blast one, think it came out good, what do yall think?

This honestly is a good one I like the flow and the color goes well with the pic and the picture is nicely blurred in with the background tho you may have used the smudge tool on this but all in all it's good. Text placement can use a lil work but it doesn't effect the picture too much at least in my opinion.

well on the spirit blast image I tried multiple thing but It didn't come out how I wanted it so I may redo that one and on the helicopter I think I may have blurred the edges of one of the copies by accident lol.

It looks like u forgot to erase over the render, take the top layer that is the bubbles and put it under your render, then set it to addition so it doesn't look like its just layed on there and work with the opacity. Ur render should be placed where ur Japanese lettering is or to the right a tad to be in the middle. Also u gotta add depth to the background by blurring and Gaussian blur with the two background colors. And lower the opacity on the black behind the lettering its a bit to strong I can see the square of black around it. And I always sharpen my render one last time so its not to dark, or work with the brightness/contrast. Hope this made since. Nice shot though, keep practiceing and you'll have it down in no time bro.

So not trying to be rude or anything, but as an honest question: is there a certain time limit or post that I have to complete before becoming an XDC member??

Tried the Apocalyptic tutorial and came up with this:

Thats a good sig, I like the flow and the blending is very well done only thing and this is just me I'm not feeling the Text placement and the text style used. Its important to have legible text, that people can read because tho you don't want to take away from the focal, text that can be an eye sore can also take away from the focal as well. So be mindful of what text you use, remember to use text based on how it looks with the sig itself not what you personally like as far as just like the text style. But all in all you did a good job on this sig.

There is no time limit or number of post that you have to complete in order to become a member of the design team. Becoming a member is a matter of us deciding that you are ready to begin making signatures for people that will reflect in a good manner on the design team. As I see that you have tried doing a couple of the requests in the Sig Request Forum, I would like to ask that you please wait until after we have approved your application to become a member. Learning how to make signatures can take different amounts of time for each individual. I like your gumption for wanting to make signatures for others, I was the same way when I first applied for the design team. And I'm not saying that you can't take a shot at one of the Signature Requests but please run the design by one of the current members of the design team before posting it to the person that has made the request. Pls continue working on test images and using tutorials to improve your skills. And just be patient with the process of your application. A rushed work of art will always have flaws. Keep up the work and thank you.

Ichigo is correct we all went through this process and honestly this process is shorter than the one some of us went through, I know I waited months to get in to the Desgin Team. But as a potential member of the Design Team, its important that you take the time to learn what you can because tho you can be good at making sigs you like you'll run across a sig or 2 that you'll just be like huh? But just stay on course man with doing the test images and you'll be a designer in no time, don't let the waiting get to you bro!

just wanted to add to this... its worth the wait... when you do get accepted and your making ART for other people to enjoy(and trust me they do enjoy it) it makes you feel good that you can do something you LOVE to do and yet make another person(friend or stranger) happy and APPRICIATE your ART that you ENJOY doing anyway? at this point it doesn't even feel like WORK anymore. but hey, maybe its just me.

Ichigo, I gave him approval on those requests. Regarding your acceptance to the team, I was getting opinions from a couple of people before moving forward with it. I feel you have a ways to go as far as your designs go but you have learned a lot and have shown great effort and initiative and that's what I like to see. With that being said, I'd like to officially welcome you to the design team! :) please make sure to send a join request to the design team user group. I will have someone set up your forum today :) CONGRATS!
