Fifa 2011: Headed in the Wrong Direction
This game is a bit of a let down because it is almost totally different from the very misleading demo. Before the bad points are thrown in, lets get the good points in.
In Fifa 2011 the graphics have been greatly improved compared to Fifa 2010. Now the players actually look like real players, not like an animated blob that can only be distinguished by color.
This is Fifa 10
This is Fifa 11
Another good point is that the players are somewhat limited on what tricks they can do. This is based off of that players real life dribbling talents. This can be good for those who know how to use it right, but at the same time it can be horrible to new comers.
One last good point is that the option to play as the goalkeeper has been introduced. This is very new and has never been done before in Fifa. It throws a good twist into the game and allows constant action.
Now for the let down part. Fifa 2011 is one of those games which is based off of blunt strength. If you have a couple of big fit guys, you are almost certain to take down smaller "weaker' teams. This is a very bad concept because in real Soccer the smaller man always seems to be able to slide right through the legs of the opponent with ease.
Another bad concept is that some of the historic teams and lesser know teams are forgotten and left to rot. Some of these teams would be the Rangers, AJAX and the Celtics.
Overall this game is fun but it is not a game i suggest to people who are not big fans of soccer. Do no base your opinion of the game off the demo because as i said before it is very misleading. This game does not compare to Fifa 2010 and is almost a waste of money.
