I've seen these so many times and even though I play 360 to talk with friends from school and such, ps3 is the overall better console. Now when I say overall I mean everything except multiplayer. The multiplayer on the ps3 from all the experiences I've had is garbage. Rarely do people have a mic, the way to send a message accept friend requests look who's online is overly complicated and "slow to get to". But (I'm not going to explain myself because it'd take to long) the ps3 in pretty much every other category wins with ease.

well they both have there good and bad points to them it all depends on the type of gamer you are i think and what system you favor more. i do agree that xbox has a better online and is the better system for shooter based games. as plalystation is the better system if your more about aventure type game as well has a blue ray if your a person that short on cash and want more bang for your buck with out having to by a blue ray player tough the sound is slightly low quailty then a stand alone player most dont hear the diffrence unless you know about all auido stuff and hear them both but there is a diffrence. for me it's xbox becuase im am more of a shooter person and i like xbox on line more that and i think that games run better on xbox not becuase xbox is better but it harder for designer to write for the playstation as it's a bit more complex with the blue ray add and how it set up. but like i said that my thoughs on it.

I disagree. Everyone on my friends list has a mic, they're all great guys, and I play with them daily. Yes, there are less people on the whole with mics, but I play on PSN daily and theirs hardly a noticeable difference. All the same, cheers to you, I'ma go play some ModNation Racers. Peace.

The interface isn't as stream lined as the 360's, I agree, but in no way is it complicated, either. Its all a matter of getting used to the differences. I read your comment and understand opinions are subjective to the individual but the multiplayer isn't garbage by any means, you're seriously understating the online component of the system which is in actuality superb.

Point and Case Demon Souls... A PS3 Exclusive title that was the most amazing Online I have ever seen for an RPG or MAG another PS3 Exclusive title who's seemless MP of up to 256 people in one game? I am sorry you can not compare Xbox to PS3 and you especially can not say the MP is garbage because you had a few **** rounds on a **** connection and you know mics are a double edged sword anyways and I honestly prefer people to be quiet ask any who has played with me I don't speak much during the game :D

Careful with what you say there, some people may get offended... I AM an atheist. Just because you put "lol" at the end of something doesn't save that statement from being hateful and extremely rude. Example: You people are as bigoted as Christians lol.

Actually, the difficulty is with the Cell processor inside the PS3 that makes it difficult for some companies to make games for the PS3 and not the blue ray. Xbox is not better for FPS'. i play MW2 on both and there is no difference. Graphix are about the same refresh rate is about the same, sound is about the same. The only things that 360 has over PS3 is the controller design and Halo. As far as gettting to friends lists and sending messages, its different between the two consoles but one is no harder than the other. I am more familiar w/ PS3 so it is easier for me. If I played more on Xbox it would be easy. This question has no right or wrong answer. So choose the PS3 and get over it. LOL. Game on, Brothers and sisters. see here about Cell processor. http://sonyps4.com/ps4-might-not-have-a-cell-processor/

although both thankfully and slight curse (if you are sending out mass recruitment messages) you can't mass spam the recently played list on PS3

Halo isn't even that great though. My favorite part of that game was it's forge mode and unfortunately it just doesn't hold up to the customization with games like ModNation Racers, LittleBigPlanet, and soon to be Gran Turismo 5. To be fair though, the games I just mentioned came out roughly two to three years after Halo. Custom games and forge is where its at with Halo, but not many utilized either to their full potential. As for the whole shooter argument, I have to agree, the multiplatform shooters have little difference from one another and plus, we have Killzone 2 (soon to be Killzone 3), Resistance 1 and 2, Uncharted 1 and 2, etc etc. Many upcoming multiplatform titles are also getting exclusive content with the PS3 as well as already existing multiplatform titles. You may get MW2 maps earlier than we do, but hey, we still get 'em. I got both of the map packs for free, too, so you'll hear no complaints from my end. Game sharing is nice and as I previously stated, the internet functionality beats out anything Xbox Live gives you, and you have to pay for most features with Xbox Live anyways. Don't get me wrong either, I'm not trying to justify my purchase, I know I made the right descision in getting the PS3, I'm just providing my opinions so that maybe others will give it a chance instead of immediatly dismissing it without playing it.

mass spamming is good if you are looking to increase your numbers. Quality is SYN DEV's goal. not meaning the best at the game, but finding people who will try to be a part of XGC, be an asset to the entire community. AS DEV has seen recently, numbers mean nothing. It is the quality of the people we bring in that makes us strong. SO you see the mass messaging thing is of no concern to me. LOL.
On another note, the Carnival Map is the shizznit.

I agree the carnival map is awesome and mass messaging does nothing but get your name out there. You might find 1 or 2 quality recruits out of it. It all depends on what you are looking for. It all comes down to preferance, but in my opinion the PS3 offers more to the user then the xbox. Also I have not heard of a PS3 giving you RROD.(lol)

Lets look at a comparison of Xbox vs PS3 online play for my detailed instruction I will focus solely on 2 stand alone titles from both consoles Killzone 2 and Halo 3 seems to be about the right choice for comparison and as I do play both quite often on the same day my net connection should be about even the only difference there would be my PS3 runs off its internal Wifi as opposed to my Xbox which has a direct connection to the router >.> which technically means my PS3 should have a slower connection but we won't quibble about that the reason I have chosen the two games is because the are console exclusive titles with Online components designed strictly speaking for its particular console Now lets start with Max players online In Halo 3 the max amount is 16 players often times I have jumped into those games and they are riddled with lag for Killzone 2 the max amount is 32 now these large games have actually often been essentially lag free for me I think I have seen it lag once since I have been playing Killzone 2 While Halo 3's standard match sizes are usually about 8 players often times I will find these games riddled with lag issues as well don't get me wrong halo does have its good days but lag especially in SWAT definitely can mean the difference between a kill and a death even if its only a very small amount of lag in SWAT often times you can definitely tell who is host on Halo 3 I have never seen that issue on Killzone 2 to date So when you compare which has a stronger online component I am definitely gonna have to cast my Vote for PS3 because So far every Exclusive title on the PS3 I have found has an amazingly strong MP Whether it be MODNation Racers with its large lobbies Killzone 2 with its 32 player games or Even MAG's servers handling up to a whopping 256 players it definitely crushes the 360's 16 max players with **** tons of lag :D
