I will get home and be ready around 7 p.m. I plan on staying up late tonight so just let me know. I also am available tomorrow for instruction. I am really looking forward to this because there are so many different methods to use on each sig and I look at everyone of the designers images and I honestly wouldn't know how to create some of the effects.

I'll be up for tonight if you can. I've been sick the past couple of days. I need to fill some requests, So I'll create one, then recreate it with you watching. Sound good? I get off around 5:30 Central time. (I've also got to install skype and learn it)

I tried to get her hair right but the image she came on needed prepped before doing anything with her. The white outline messed up the conversion to alpha. I will keep that in mind next time I have an image like this.

I am not done with these yet. I can't figure out what to put in the background of these yet. I think I am going to sleep on it. It is going to have to be a blue background of some sort.

One way to blend her more would be to take your eraser tool, change the strength to about 50% and then slightly erase the outline. Overall, its a wonderful improvment. =) Keep up the excellent work

I like that idea. I kept trying to use the paint brush and spray and smudge. All of those methods made the image look bad. I couldn't get the effect that I wanted. You are right with the eraser I could have probably gotten the effect I was looking for. Thank you!

I'm suppose to write down what we did over skype, so that the higher ups know that I'm acutally trying to help, and not slacking.

We touched on C4Ds mainly, here's a quick tutorial on using them in sigs.
http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/87/t960958-deviants-basic-gimp-c4d-tutorial/

and here are a few that I use in my sigs

Sunspot

explode
energy

really all you need to do is spend a few hours on google, search for "_____" C4d, and save all the ones that look cool.

start stocks are also great to add depth, texture, and effects. here's a few

one

two

three

and again, just search for images that you like and just build up a file!

These two are your best in my opinion. Maybe do a slight sharpen of your focals so that they "pop" just a little bit.

Copy that. I was really interested in creating them. I will hit up the test images when I have time this week. I think I would help to do another skype exercise as well. Just let me know when you have some time to spend on it.
